This course provides top quality Hot Fire, Breathing Apparatus, Chemical Spill, Fire Training in a variety of realistic situations. Teams will learn all the correct procedures for all incidents that may confront them back on site. It is suitable for new ERT members from all sectors of industry.

Objectives:

• On completion of the course participants should be able to:
• operate a system of commands and procedures
• understand the nature of fire and how to extinguish it with fire extinguishers and fire hoses
• use every type of hand-held fire extinguisher in the right conditions
• use correct procedures with hoses and branches
• operate SCBA
• Perform Search and Rescue in SCBA
• fight Hot realistic fires
• fight fire in a building, using Breathing Apparatus
• Use Troll Stretcher

Methods of training
The course involves 90% practical training. The physical exertion involved means that all participants should be physically fit and free from any respiratory disorder or heart disease.
